Etosha

We're now camping in Etosha national park. The first day we did a game drive in to the camp site. There is a floodlit watering hole quite close to camp. Apparently it is the one that David Attenborough used for his program. We went there shortly after arriving and saw a black rhino.

Then a herd of elephants came in.

We then did another game drive in our truck. I saw two honey badgers, which at the time I had no clue what they were, just huge skunk like cartoon animals. Didn't get a photo of those because the truck wasn't stopped, but later I learned they are pretty rare to see. Good spot by me!

Later that night I went to the watering hole and saw more rhinos as well as a lioness and her cubs. Although it is floodlit, it is still quite hard to see (and I learned my camera is not so good in low light).

We got up again before the crack of dawn at 530 to leave for another game drive in our truck. Sunrise was around 645, so we were allowed out of the gates then.

We saw a smiling zebra...

And lots of lions!

And here's everyone looking out the window!

Then we came back to camp and shaved Natalie's head. Well, part of it.
