We got tomour hotel, Glow Trinity Silom. We got an "extra bed" for our friend Sherrill who we met in Africa and decided to join us! She hadn't arrived yet, and the room wasn't ready so we went out in search of a place to get our hair cut.
We found a Starbucks and were hoping for free wifi, but no luck! Although while we were in the queue a girl came up and handed me a buy one get one free coupon. Nice people in bangkok!
Mo talked to some girls behind us and we managed to locate a salon for a haircut...it was pretty much down an alley.
My stylist..
We then went back to the hotel and found out our extra bed is super skinny bench that is built in to the wall. Sherrill arrived and then we decided to go out and explore.
We had lunch at Hai Somtam, it was slightly sketchy but good. We had our first Thai massage and I found out when the lady tried to stand on the top of my thigh that I am extra ticklish from my knee to the top of my leg! The masseuse found this extra hilarious.
After our busy day we had naps and showers then got ready to go out for Spanish tapas in Sukhumvit. We had beers at Cheap Charlies and then the Australian bar where a really good band was playing. I was not feeling well, so the girls took me back to the hotel and went to Halloween party in a club underneath a parking garage. It sounded interesting to say the least!
The second day we took a local boat cruise/taxi at the suggestion of some people we met the night before. A steal for 15 baht!
We stopped for lunch at a pizza place and then caught a tuk tuk.
We shopped for shoes for Sherill and then got pedicures. We went for another massage at JJ, the place where we got the haircuts. We should've just stuck with the haircuts there! We had dinner at the "best thai in Bangkok" - Baan Khanitha. Afterward we went to Moon bar at the Banyan Tree where they have amazing views. It's on the 61st storey!
